Join Al of Dettmann Designs for a hands-on introduction to bundle dyeing, a natural dyeing technique that uses plants and botanicals to create beautiful colors, textures, and patterns on fabric.
We'll explore and experiment with a rainbow of natural dyes on pre-mordanted fabric and explore how different dyes behave onĀ silk vs. cotton. Each participant will create their own dyed cotton and silk bandanas, along with fabric test swatches to take home :)Ā
You'll learn a simple, approachable technique you can continue using to experiment with natural dyes and the plants around you.
No experience necessary; all materials and fabric provided.
