Join us for an Alla Prima Oil Painting workshop with local Ridgewood artist Owen Geary!
In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the fundamentals of alla prima ("wet-on-wet") oil painting while creating a finished piece of art in a single session. Owen will guide you through composition, color mixing, brushwork, and paint application, helping you build confidence with oils while working directly from observation.
Perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike, this workshop is a great introduction to one of the most expressive approaches to oil painting.
Students will leave with a finished painting to take home. Painting will be wet, so be prepared. You are welcome to leave your work at Tiny Arts Supply but it will be recycled 2 weeks after the session.
No experience necessary; all materials provided.
